Dr A L Blackwood graduated from Hahnemann Medical College, Chicago, in 1888. He attended the New York Post-Graduate School in 1889 and John Hopkins School in 1901, after which he practiced in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Professor of General Medicine and Senior Professor of Physiology at the Hahnemann Medical College, Chicago, and an Attending Physician at the Hahnemann Hospital, Chicago. Dr Blackwood was a member of the American Institute of Homeopathy and the Illinois State Homeopathic Society.
